Town of Marshall Housing Rehabilitation Program

The Town of Marshall has received funding from New York State for the rehabilitation of owner
occupied substandard single-family homes. The program can provide financial assistance to
address home repair needs.

Are You Eligible?

Rehabilitation work that can be performed under this program includes, but is not limited

  • electric
  • plumbing
  • heating
  • roofing
  • insulation
  • masonry
  • windows
  • doors
  • painting
  • interior and exterior carpentry

Occupants must be low-to-moderate in income, as per the table below, and the property must be in need of repairs. Other requirements apply.

Financial Assistance Program 

  • Grant Assistance is provided in the form of a 5 year lien. No repayments are required unless the property is sold or ceases to be the primary residence.
  • Assistance levels typically range between $30,000 - $40,000 per structure, although projects involving asbestos removal or lead based paint abatement may have higher costs. Other funding limits may apply.
